The band – shit hot – knocked out a good 13 numbers, I drank 13 beers, but they were only halves, while DICK THE PRICK DID 13 pints (imperial ones), EAT HER smoked 13 fags, and IBM laid 13 farts (within my hearing) plus inestimable sum of cushion creepers. Emcee DISCOWANKER conducted the proceedings con brio throughout while YWGMH contrived to insert two bestial limericks from the Good Ship Venus.

The Hangover Run next day from White Sands Bar down the beach was well attended surprisingly, and I have to say that YETI did the honours most admirably, providing fancy cocktail piss-stops and prime beef hamburgers. Cactus, thorny bushes and calcareous scree notwithstanding, by all accounts it was a bloody good run. But what would XWGMH know about it – piker that he were. He will show you how properly to sit on ice next week. He has vast experience in that department. Behold.

Jimbaran Bay Beach is beautiful – couple of miles or unsullied golden strand. waves that can bowl you over – every seventh at least – anu perfect for aspiring surfers. But the main attraction is the fishing fleet; jukung and prau loaded to the gunwhales with sardines. Never seen such quantities. You could buy ’em for as little as 3,590 a kilo. A host or Sterna diving terus reported by IBM, who also had a Peregrine perched on the light buoy at Serangan/Benoa. And – EUREKA – at 09.00 this morning (NOV 16) a Goshawk distinctly heard in the garden. Tukang kebun NARTHA actually saw it dive down to the paddy, seize a frog and fly off again.
